The Municipal Code is available for public review online or in the Office of City Clerk Dawn Jones on the 4th floor of the County-City building, Ste. 455.


How often is South Bend's municipal code updated?

The Municipal Code is updated quarterly through Municode where new ordinances and amendments are available online.


Who is involved in writing and maintaining municipal code?

The South Bend Common Council is responsible for the passage of City ordinances and amendments presented by the City Administration.  After passage, the City Clerk presents new ordinances and amendments to Municode for codification.
