Commercial Fire Inspections may occur in any Commercial occupancy, but are required annually for any establishment that serves food to the public.
When do Commercial Fire Inspections occurr?
Mandatory inspections for Commercial Properties that serve food to the public are performed on an annual basis. All other Commercial Properties should expect to have inspections every two years, but could recieve a visit from a Fire Inspector at any time.
Who is involved in Commercial Fire Inspections?
The South Bend Fire Department Inspectors are specially trained and certified to conduct fire inspections. Each Inspector is responsible for a geographical area of the City, but is available as a resource for others.
