TRA-SERVICE: Street Painting
Street Painting is a seasonal task. Painting is generally done between May 1 and September 30, depending on the weather.
What is Street Painting?
Street painting includes lane markings, cross walks, stop bars, and other specialty pavement markings.
We do not paint curbs yellow.
Where are you requesting Street Painting?
Please provide the following:
- Street name
- Specific block number (Ex: 1500 block of Brookfield)
- Boundary streets (Ex: Lincolnway West from College to Bendix) or intersection (Ex: Lafayette and South), depending on what you are requesting
- The type of markings you are requesting (Lane lines, cross walks)
If requesting painting around schools:
- Name of school
- The type of markings you are requesting
When is Street Painting provided?
Generally, street painting is done between May 1st and September 30th, depending on weather.
If you are making your request between the above dates, the information will be sent to the supervisor for evaluation and scheduling.
If you are making your request outside of the above dates, the information will be kept on file to be addressed during the next painting season.
