EXP-REQUEST: Use of Parks for an Event

A Request for Park Use application must be completed to request the use of a city park for an event that is open to the public. The event and application must be approved by the Venues Parks & Arts Board. If this is a new event, then a formal presentation must be made in front of the Board. If it is a returning event, no presentation is necessary. The board meets the third Monday of the month at 321 Walter St. at 5 p.m. This application does not include reserving a picnic site or renting a pavilion.

The cost of renting a park for an event will vary, depending on the park, event, insurance, and other City services requested.

Who is eligible for Use of Parks for an Event?

Using a park for an event is open to anybody, so long as they have gone through the proper steps to reserve the park.

When is Use of Parks for an Event provided?

Use of Parks is provided all year long.
