How is park tree maintenance conducted?
All park & street trees are assessed using the ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) tree risk assessment.
We only remove or have removed trees that are dead, dying (trees that have 35% or more dieback in the crown with no other mitigation options possible) or dangerous trees with a risk rating of moderate to high.
This process considers visible structural damage, non-preventable likelihood of damage, new construction, and disease or infestation.
All trees assessed at a high or extreme risk level are removed as soon as possible after identification.
