How do I get more information about applying for a job at the city?

Applications are accepted electronically, either on-line at or at one of our Employment Kiosks which are located in the Human Resources Department (County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., 1200 N), the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center (1522 W. Linden), or the O’Brien Center (321 E. Walter St.). 

A complete list of jobs can be generated from the Employment page if you click on the Search for Jobs button or you may search by Keyword or Category.  

Once a position of interest is found, click on the title for detailed information.  If you would like to apply for the position, click on the Apply Now button to begin the application process which should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.  Please apply for all positions in which you are interested.  The application process is much shorter once you’ve provided your basic application information the first time.
