What information do I need to request a summary report?
To request an incident/offense report, you will need:
- Victim's last name, or
- Your report number, or
- The report date
Who can get a summary report?
- Only victims can get a summary report
- Suspects cannot be provided a copy of their case from the SBPD Records Bureau
- Suspects can file a Public Access Request that will be reviewed by a City Attorney
Where can I get a summary report?
You can request a police case summary report in-person at the South Bend Police Department.

- Monday - Friday 7:00am to 11:00pm
- Observed City Holidays (see list here) 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
